So why did God tell us to pray if He knows everything before we even have a thought to do so?  From the beginning and the end, He knows all and can do anything.  That’s what religion has taught for decades.  Then why is it so important for us to pray then?  In Genesis God gave man authority over the earth.  It was given to man.

It says in Psalms 115:16 – The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

He can never take that authority back.  So for Him to step in and do what He wants would be overriding our authority in which He gave to us.

So what does prayer do?  Not only does it bring us closer to our Father in heaven to commune with, it gives God legal access to operate in our lives and help us accomplish what needs to take place here on earth through His power and might.

So we as Christians, soldiers of the kingdom of God, pray and His power will manifest here on earth.

The most famous prayer Jesus taught the disciples; many of us know this by heart, but did you ever really pay attention to the words in which you are saying?  Saying it without knowing and having faith in your words are powerless.

Luke 11:2 says: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth…

He needs us as much as we need Him.  Take the time to listen to what He wants you to pray, not what you just need in your life, but what needs to happen for the Kingdom.

Matthew 6:33: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
