No amount of darkness can overpower the smallest amount of light. the entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. Psalm 119:130.

Have you ever heard people say God’s word is light and not completely understand the deeper meaning? Some Jewish sages say there are 70 layers to scripture. Wow! Can you imagine how much we don’t know? It’s incomprehensible to wrap your mind around.

2 Peter 1:19 – We have also a more sure word of prophecy: whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.

The “sure word” prophesy refers to the infallibility of scripture as the greatest and clearest revelation of God to man. “Take head” means pay attention. “Day dawn” arrival time, “day star” is Jesus.

The word is our light in a dark time to illuminate the way until Jesus arrives and he’ll illuminate everything and they’ll be no darkness, all truth will be revealed.

1 Corinthians 13:12 AMP – For now [in this time of imperfection] we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma], but then [when the time of perfection comes we will see reality] face to face. Now I know in part [just in fragments] but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully, known [by God]. His word is our guide, it’s alive, you just have to mix your faith with it and it will carry you through in any situation.

He is the way maker, promise keeper, light in the darkness, that is who He is.
